Description This project serves as a review of programs offered to girls in grades 6th - 12th and how would more members be encouraged to participate and retain membership in youth leadership programming offered through Girl Scouts of Utah. My research methods included focus groups and individual interviews with girls who are currently participating in programs and those that are not. Through these research methods I was able to identify key themes such as, the girls involved in programs are high achievers, who influences the girl's decisions to be involved in programs, their motivations for staying involved in Girl Scouts and their recommendations to increasing membership and retention. I have also provided suggestions to Girl Scouts of Utah for increasing involvement in these programs and identified what still needs to be addressed on this issue.
