Give the Gift of Life Holiday Blood Donors Needed The hospital's Blood Donor Center is encouraging employees and visitors to give blood this holiday season. According to center staff, the community blood supply is historically low during the holiday season and fewer people are available to donate. While all types of blood are needed, there is an urgent need for O- negative blood. To donate, visit the hospital's Blood Donor Center, room A209, between 9 a. m.- 6 p. m. weekdays, and 9 a. m.- 4p. m. on weekends and holidays ( including New Year's Eve). Walk- ins are welcome, or you can call x5- 2767 for an appointment. Hospital Y2K Activities Planned Employees, patients and visitors in the hospital on New Year's Eve are invited to an informal millennium party starting at 10: 30 p. m. in the lobby. The party will feature light refreshments and music. In addition, the hospital's emergency command center will be in operation on New Year's Eve as a precaution against unforeseen Y2K glitches. Information about Y2K and emergency preparedness, published by the State of Utah, is available online at y2k. state. ut. us. i i ia Under the direction of Tony Shirley ( far right), staff from Moran Surgery helped the department win third place.
