Creator Sanders, Scott K; Purvin, Valerie A; Kawasaki, Aki
Description In this study, we reviewed the charts of all patients diagnosed with vasculopathic sixth nerve palsy (6NP) between 1983 and 1996 in a neuro-ophthalmology outpatient clinic. Criteria for the diagnosis included isolated, unilateral abduction deficit which improved spontaneously in patients with at least one of the following risk factors: age > 50, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia or hyperlipidemia. Our primary goal was to determine the percentage of patients who experienced recurrent cranial mononeuropathy
