Description Revised criteria for pseudotumor cerebri syndrome (PTCS) (Friedman et al. 2013) incorporate the presence of 3 of 4 MRI signs into the diagnosis of PTCS without papilledema (PTCS WOP), but prior studies examined these signs primarily in patients with papilledema. MRI findings include optic nerve sheath distention (ONSD), reduced pituitary gland height (PGH), flattening of the posterior globe (FPG), and transverse sinus stenosis (TSS). We compare MRI findings in PTCS with papilledema (PTCS WP), PTCS WOP, and controls.
